Sir Gribaldi is a highly noble son of the formative Secret from the Hanoverian licensing station Verden. The noble blood stallions All Inclusive and Lauries Crusador xx, which appear in the maternal pedigree, have significantly influenced Sir Gribaldi's type. Sir Gribaldi's unshakeable basic movement makes an impression. Special mention should also be made of the walk, blessed with outstanding quality, in which Sir Gribaldi always strides through the body while gaining a lot of space.
On his father's side, Secret carries the blood of the Triple World Champion Sezuan. He was HLP winner and Vice Bundeschampion at the age of three, Vice World Champion at the age of five and Dressage Horse Bundeschampion at the age of six. From his first two crops he produced 24 licensed sons, various top prizes and Bundeschampions in Germany alone.
Sir Gribaldi's dam, Ashanti, has noble blood elements through her Trakehner sire, All Inclusive. All Inclusive combines the Trakehner stallions Gribaldi and Buddenbrock. He was reserve champion at his licensing, later victorious in the arena in the heavy class and was awarded as Trakehner elite stallion. With only sporadic breeding he produced the remarkable numbers of five licensed sons and 32 premium mares. The granddam Light my fire is a daughter of the thoroughbred stallion Lauries Crusador xx, who was declared a legend during his lifetime, line founder and sire of 71 licensed sons, mainly in Hanover. The pedigree is followed by Weltmeyer, Wendekreis and Cardinal xx, classics of Hanoverian performance breeding and heroes of their time. The refiner Cardinal xx had a valuable influence on riding horse breeding from the Schmidt/Ankum stud.
In Artland also lies the origin of the Hanoverian mare line of Dodica, from which previously licensed stallions such as Selectric, Windsurfer and Weingold emerged. The clear hereditary focus of the family lies with high accuracy in the upper dressage sport. The clear figurehead is the Fidermark son Vom Feinsten, who performed under Julie Brougham (NZL) in the dressage arena at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro (2016) and the WEG in Tryon (2018).
