From insider tip to shooting star
A licensed son of the former young horse world champion Dimaggio, who died much too early, is hard to find nowadays. A Dimaggio son out of an outstanding dam who has already sired two premium stallions in Vechta, who wins his stallion performance test at his first show start and then comes along with an outstanding basic gait arrangement in the coveted black colour of all things...! It sounds like a fairy tale from 1001 Nights, but that is exactly the calling card of Dimaggio Black. He was the all-important measure of all things at the sport test in Münster/Handorf, with a phenomenal final score of 9.40 he won the test by far. 2022 Dimaggio Black shone at his debut on the international stage. Under Beatrice Arturi he achieved dream scores. At his first international start in Samorin he won the test with over 83%. But that was not all, at the following international show in Deauville, France, the pair went one better and shone with a sensational result of 90.6%. The first foal crops of Dimaggio Black left nothing to be desired with highly modern, movement talented exhibits.
Sire Dimaggio is also posthumously one of the most popular sires of the Donnerhall line. He himself was fourth at the Bundeschampionat in 1999, World Champion of five-year-old dressage horses in Arnheim/NED in 2000 and subsequently victorious up to Intermédiaire I. Breeding-wise, he sired many top horses for modern dressage sport. 73 of his offspring placed in the advanced level in Germany alone, most notably Duke of Britain (Frederic Wandres).
The dam, Feela, is a four-time stallion dam. With Christ, she already produced the Grand Prix-placed I c premium stallion of the Oldenburg licensing in 2011, Cristall, with Diamond Hit in 2015 the Vechta premium stallion and World Cup participant Diamond First and in mating to Marc Cain another licensed son. The dam's sire, Fürst Heinrich, was the celebrated World Champion of five-year-old dressage horses in Verden in 2003 and advanced to become a stamp stallion with worldwide appeal in Benstrup. Via the Holstein stallions Famos and Benedictus, the pedigree leads to a thoroughbred line that is widely used in Holstein breeding.
