Internationally proven son of Caretino

Toughness, scope and an excellent attitude in the course are Credo’s skills that have allowed him to be internationally successful for more than ten years. At the same time they make him highly interesting for breeding. So it’s just logical that he will enter the breeding scene in 2019 for the very first time officially in order to spread his precious genetics.

After several wins in tests for young horses, Credo started his international career with Anna-Maria Jakobs (GER) back in 2009. In their first season the two were placed in 1.50m-classes several times and won the Silver medal at the German championships for women in showjumping. It’s remarkable that Credo was just eight at this time and so, it’s not a big surprise that the the young Credo was one of the highest coveted horses worldwide. Credo stayed with Anna-Maria Jakobs and had many more placements up 1.50m-level over a couple of years. In 2015 Mario Stevens got the chance to take over the reins of the 14-year-old Credo. The new couple made it to the most prestigious shows of the international showjumping world. If Hickstead, Calgary or Aachen – Credo was almost everywhere and even in 2018 at the age of 17 he was still very successful: In Leipzig he scored second in a 1.50m-class, he was fifth in the GP in Nörten-Hardenberg and eighth in a 1,55m-class at the GCT-leg in Berlin.

As a true Holsteiner Credo’s origin couldn’t be any better. His sire Caretino is the most important son of the not less great Caletto II. He has produced many internatinal showjumpers e.g. Casall (Rolf Göran Bengtsson/SWE), Chupa Chup (Bernardo Alves/BRA) und Cristallo (Richard Spooner/USA). Credo’s damsire Silvester is a son of the legendary french stallion Silbersee who has won the Derby in Hamburg and the Grand Prix of Aachen with Dr. Michael Rüping (GER). Silvester himself has produced the Olympic Burg’s Samantha (Bert Romp/NL). With Corporal (grandsire of the Capitol-brothers), Marlon xx and Farnese Credo’s family is part of the famous Holsteiner Stamm 104a.
